What is Longevity?
Longevity is a fitness and nutrition app for iPhone and Android built with GLP-1 users in mind. It helps you track food and fluids, build a strength routine and check in on how you feel. Elle uses your logged history for contextual fitness coaching. People not taking a GLP-1 are welcome too.
Who — or what — is Elle?
Elle is Longevity's AI coach. She uses your intake, daily check-ins, logged workouts and meals to offer fitness guidance informed by your actual history. You can chat about training, protein, meals, appetite, energy or motivation. She cannot diagnose symptoms or replace your clinician.
Does Longevity support GLP-1 medications like Ozempic or Wegovy?
Yes. If a GLP-1 medication is part of your journey, Longevity offers educational coaching around reduced appetite and shifting energy: individualized protein targets, protein tracking, strength-focused training and check-ins tuned to how you're feeling. Adequate protein and regular resistance training can support efforts to preserve muscle during weight loss, but results vary and Longevity makes no guarantees. It does not provide medication or dose advice; follow your prescriber's guidance.
Why does protein matter on a GLP-1 journey?
Some GLP-1 medications reduce appetite, which can make adequate intake difficult. Too little food or protein may make it harder to meet nutrition needs during weight loss. A useful target depends on you — there is no universal gram prescription. Longevity helps you track estimated protein without replacing care from a clinician or registered dietitian.
Can GLP-1 weight loss affect muscle or hydration?
Weight loss can include muscle as well as fat, though the amount varies. Eating or drinking less, especially with vomiting or diarrhea, can also increase dehydration risk. Neither outcome is inevitable. Adequate nutrition, appropriate resistance training and attention to fluids are useful self-care steps; talk to your clinician if you struggle to eat or keep fluids down. See our GLP-1 guide for clinical references.
How much protein should I eat?
There is no single gram target that fits everyone. A useful protein target can depend on your body size, age, health, activity, goals, current intake and appetite. Longevity can help organize what you eat and coach toward a goal you choose, while a clinician or registered dietitian can help set an appropriate target for your circumstances.
Why include resistance training? Isn't protein enough?
Protein alone is not the whole strength plan. Resistance training gives muscles a reason to adapt, while adequate protein supplies building material; together, they can support efforts to maintain muscle during weight loss. Walking is valuable for movement and conditioning and complements resistance training, but it does not replace it. Start at a manageable level and build gradually.
I'm new to lifting. Where do I start?
Start where you are — bodyweight movements, bands, dumbbells or machines can all be reasonable entry points. Focus on comfortable technique and consistency, then add challenge gradually. Elle's adaptive plans and guided exercise videos can help you learn movements and adjust around your schedule. If you have pain, an injury or a health concern, ask a qualified professional for guidance.
Can I use Longevity if I don't take a GLP-1?
Absolutely. GLP-1 users are our primary audience for this education, but Longevity is for anyone who wants practical protein guidance, approachable strength training, nutrition tracking and coaching that adapts to real life. You do not need to take a medication to use the app.
Does Longevity tell me what medication or dose to take?
No. Longevity does not recommend starting, stopping or changing a medication, and it does not tell you what dose to use. It cannot assess side effects or replace medical care. For medication decisions, symptoms or questions about your individual nutrition needs, speak with your prescriber and a qualified clinician or registered dietitian.
Do I need a gym membership?
No. During intake you tell Elle what equipment and time you have — from a full gym to a pair of dumbbells or bodyweight at home — and your plan is built around that. Guided exercise videos show you every movement.
Does it connect to Apple Health?
On iPhone, you can optionally connect Apple Health so your daily steps and activity sync into your dashboard and coaching. It only happens after you explicitly grant permission, you can disconnect anytime from the Profile screen, and synced data is never sold or shared.
Is my health data private?
Yes. Your data is stored on secure, industry-standard cloud infrastructure, is never sold, rented or traded, and is never used to train foundation AI models. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from inside the app at any time.
How much does Longevity cost?
The app is free to download. Two-week free trial is offered to eligible subscribers. Annual membership is $144.99 USD per year, billed annually; Monthly is a separate $19.99 USD per month option. Download does not start a trial. Trial eligibility, price, payment and renewal terms are confirmed in the App Store or Google Play before you subscribe. See the Pricing page for details.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Anytime, straight from your App Store or Google Play account settings. Subscriptions auto-renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends — there's nobody to phone and no hoops to jump through.
Is Longevity medical advice?
No. Longevity is designed for fitness tracking, nutritional logging and education. It is not a medical organization or healthcare provider, and its recommendations do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or medication guidance. Do not use it to change a medication or dose. Consult your prescriber, clinician or registered dietitian about individual health questions, and before changing your diet or starting a new fitness program.
Which phones does it run on?
Longevity is built for both iPhone (iOS) and Android. Apple Health step syncing is an iPhone-only feature, since it relies on Apple's HealthKit.
